Our Area & Activities

The map below indicates the Sevenoaks Living Landscape area of activity outlined in red. There is a core area around Sevenoaks and two additional areas to the south closer to Tonbridge.
Within the core area, Kent Wildlife Trust has three reserves in the area marked with Kent Wildlife Trust Symbol –

  1. To the North, Sevenoaks Wildlife Reserve, 175 acres, half of which are lakes,
  2. To the East, Ivy Hatch which is our smallest reserve and is a delightful wet woodland spot
  3. To the South East, Bough Beech on the edge of a large reservoir with ponds, orchards and fields.

To the North of the SOLL area is the Darent Triangle project and to the West is the Return to Eden initiative, both KWT conservation / habitat improvement schemes.
Wildlife does not recognise boundaries and a fundamental aim of the project is to create corridors linking the reserves and other wildlife / habitat improvement projects.

“Our ambition is to have as much wildlife friendly land as possible between the reserves and as many people as possible involved in trying to achieve this.”
